About the event
The Texas Food Championship is where Texas crowns its culinary champions.
Held September 25–27, 2026 at Water’s Edge Park in Corpus Christi, this three-day festival unites food, flame, and flavor on the Texas coast. As the Official Exclusive Super Qualifier for Team Texas at the World Food Championships, the event brings together the state’s best chefs, pitmasters, home cooks, and culinary students to compete across ten dynamic categories — from BBQ and Burger to Seafood, Dessert, and Live Fire.
Beyond the competition, the Texas Food Championship is a celebration of Texas culture. Guests can explore the Craft Beverage Garden, shop the Farmers & Makers Market, taste bites from top food trucks and restaurants, and enjoy live music on the bay. Each day features both professional judging through the WFC’s E.A.T.™ Methodology and People’s Choice tastings, where fans help decide who earns a coveted Golden Ticket to the World Food Championships.
